Collepaglia - Jesi
Wines
Collepaglia, the newest member of the Tenimenti Angelini wine estate group, is a territory that has long been owned by the Angelini family, whose origins in the Marche region were determinant for the decision to produce Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. The vineyards lie on Colle Paglia, which owes its name to the rounded shape of the hilltop, recalling a typical haystack, and to the yellowish color of the soil lent by a high sand content. The vineyard slope, with southern exposure, offers a unique vista ranging from Monte Conero over the sea to Monte San Vicino and as far as the “azure” Monti Sibillini so dear to Leopardi. Unique in the area as to soil, microclimate, and exposure, the Collepaglia vineyards possess a true vocation for producing fine Verdicchio wine.
